When setting up a new blog, the first thing one needs to do is to become familiar with the tools that will be used for the blog. When I was regularly updating the AccessWatch site, if I ever regularly updated it in the truest sense, I used Blogger. Over the past three years or so, I have become more familiar with WordPress and haven't taken a good look at Blogger in quite some time. One of the things I discovered last evening is that I find it easier to work with Blogger using Safari on the Mac rather than Internet Explorer or Firefox. Since I was using the Mac, I decided to take a look at MarsEdit, a program that should make blogging almost effortless. At almost $40, I will definitely need to decide if the convenience factor is worth the price. The main thing for me at this point is that I start writing and do it regularly. Perhaps I will set my hand to writing a more substantive post after the first of the year. In the meantime, it's off to spend New Year's Eve with my wife and some good friends.

Welcome to The Pauls Place—a collection of blog posts and podcasts that all relate to the personal and professional interests of myself and my family. My goal is to blog at least once per week. Here’s hoping that 2015 brings some interesting topics to the table.
