When setting up a new blog, the first thing one needs to do is to become familiar with the tools that will be used for the blog. When I was regularly updating the AccessWatch site, if I ever regularly updated it in the truest sense, I used Blogger. Over the past three years or so, I have become more familiar with WordPress and haven't taken a good look at Blogger in quite some time. One of the things I discovered last evening is that I find it easier to work with Blogger using Safari on the Mac rather than Internet Explorer or Firefox. Since I was using the Mac, I decided to take a look at MarsEdit, a program that should make blogging almost effortless. At almost $40, I will definitely need to decide if the convenience factor is worth the price. The main thing for me at this point is that I start writing and do it regularly. Perhaps I will set my hand to writing a more substantive post after the first of the year. In the meantime, it's off to spend New Year's Eve with my wife and some good friends.
